Segway RMP URDF Files
These ROS Universal Robotic Description Format (URDF) files contain:
- A simple XML file that describes the mass, cg, and dimensions of the Segway RMP base platform, and also describes the moving and fixed joints
- A combination of 3D meshes that work with the URDF file for visual representation of the robot
- All the directories required to directly launch rviz and look at the model
These files are very useful when trying to incorporate the Segway Robotics platform into a larger ROS controlled system. The files can be used to provide a visual representation in Gazebo, MoveIt! and any ROS package that requires a URDF model.
Segway RMP Standard 3D Files
These Standard 3D models are provided to allow easy integration of the Segway RMP base with any component needed for your end solution. These models, which are generated from Solidworks 2013 in the IGES format, can be imported into just about any format. They are dimensionally accurate to allow quick creation of mounting plates.
We can also provide the native files on request, which allow much simpler modification. Please contact our sales team to discuss your desired application for these files and request the models.
